A Fővárosi Közgyűlés a 27/2013. (IV.18.) Főv. Kgy. Rendeletében biztosított jogkörében eljárva pályázatot hirdet az alább városrehabilitációs programokra:
A) Közterületek komplex megújítása
B) Közösségi célú városrehabilitációs programok

A pályázattal elérhető programok keretében támogatás vehető igénybe a városkép és városi környezet javítását, az épített, természeti és kulturális örökség, valamint a helyi identitás megőrzését, megújítását, s ezáltal az érintett városrészek vonzerejének növelését szolgáló programok megvalósításához.

A3.1) Nem lakás célú ingatlanokat érintő beavatkozások:
– Használaton kívüli ingatlan, telek hasznosítása közösségi funkció (pl. kert, sportlétesítmény, stb…) céljából, vagy a közterületi hálózat bővítése érdekében
– Használaton kívüli épületek vagy épületrészek felújítása közösségi funkciót szolgáló célokra – Földszinti üres üzlethelyiségek közösségi célú felújítása
– Az épület földszinti helyiségeinek közösségi funkciókat szolgáló céllal való felújítása

– alulhasznosított közterületek hasznosítása időszakos közösségi funkciók létrehozásával;
– foghíjak átmeneti hasznosítása pl. közösségi kertek létrehozása, játszóterek létesítése által; – üres ingatlanok (épületek, helyiségek) hasznosítása közösségi céllal.

The opening workshop of the Vacant Central Europe project takes place in Katowice, on May 10-11. In the frame of the “Vacant Katowice” event, participants will explore empty, abandoned or ruined buildings and lots in the Upper Silesian Agglomeration and the possibility of recycling them. The workshop will include presentations of case studies, including the activities of BIBU group (Katowice-Szopienice and Ruda Slaska – Chebzie), and the transformation of Katowice’s railway stations and inner city buildings. During the workshop, participants will visit vacant properties in the city centre and discuss various forms of conversion, reuse and in-between use. The event will also give opportunity for the project partners to elaborate ideas for the vacancy crowdmap network developed as part of the cooperation and to comment on the existing Katowice map (http://puste.naprawsobiemiasto.eu/). The workshop’s findings and conclusions will be presented to the wider public, allowing for feedback and further ideas about the problem and opportunity of vacant urban properties as well as for a broader exchange of experiences, ideas and tools.

2003 fanden Künstlerinnen und Architektinnen aus dem Umfeld von Kunstuniversität Linz und Institut für erweiterte Kunst zusammen, um die Themen Leerstand und Zwischennutzung in der Stadt Linz stärker ins Blickfeld zu rücken. Die Projektgruppe Fruchtgenuss hat im Lauf der Jahre mit Linz09, SpotZ und zahlreichen weiteren Initiativen kooperiert. 2011 wurde Fruchtgenuss als nicht gewinnorientierter Verein angemeldet. Unser Anliegen ist es, als Schnittstelle zwischen Eigentümern und Raumsuchenden zu agieren. Wir wollen einen Rahmen schaffen, der eine sozial und kulturell nachhaltige Nutzung von Raumressourcen ermöglicht. Das Ziel unserer Arbeit ist innerstädtische Belebung durch innovative Nutzungen.

Previously there was a series of discounts and exemptions that meant that the council tax charged on most empty homes was less than for occupied homes. The situation has now reversed meaning that council tax on most empty homes will be the same or even more than on occupied homes.”

Last friday LAKATLAN spent a few days in Berlin. We had a really nice and thoughtful conversation with Stefanie Raab, the founder and director of Coopolis about temporary use, civil engagement, gentrification and urban development strategies.

Coopolis started it’s operation in the Reuterkiez district more than 10 years ago, establishing vacancy management projects, mediating between users and property owners in the spirit of sustainable city development. They invented the expression of Zwischennutzungsagentur and were pioneers in introducing and consolidating this approach in Germany, as a possible answer to the problem of shrinking cities and vacancy in the city.

The Leipzig-based Haushalten organizes temporary (> 5 years) use in abandoned buildings. Their ‘Guardian houses’ (Wächterhäuser) accommodate ateliers, concert spaces, workshops and eventually, living spaces. http://www.haushalten.org/

The exhibition grows out of a body of ongoing research by the Barcelona-based architect Julia Schulz-Dornburg. The focus of the work, which first began in 2010, is the photographic inventory of abandoned speculative construction in Spain. On view are landscapes that have been occupied by unfinished residential resorts and consequently left with lasting damage. The premature decline of these settlements, brought on by the property market crash, presents us with images of disquieting beauty, of the incongruence of the brief life of property speculation and its lasting physical consequences. The photographic documentation of these residential resorts is presented alongside their promotional material, researched biography and pertinent urban planning information.

Március 5-én az Észak-Pesti Kórház területén jártunk, amelynek legújabb épületét 1985-ben adták át, és mindössze öt éven át üzemelt, mivel a 1990-ben bezárták az egész intézményt. Az épületért a tervezők, Varga Levente és Tomay Tamás 1985-ben Ybl-díjat kaptak. A területen álló többi épület is két évtizede üres.

Rethinking Urbanity: Wonderland Project Space workshops in Budapest and Vienna – deadline March 15!

Ötletpályázatot írt ki a fővárosi önkormányzat az üres üzlethelyiségek kezelésének témájában, a mintaprojekt helyszíne az V. kerületi Kossuth Lajos utca egy szakasza lesz. A másfélmillió forintos díjazású ötletpályázat hétfőn nyílt meg és április 15. a pályamunkák beadási határideje. Az eredményeket április 30-ig hirdetik ki, a későbbiekben kiállításon is bemutatkoznak a pályaművek.

A desolate urban ghost town, it is hard to believe that these streets belong to Accrington, formerly a major hub of the north’s cotton and textile industry. With rows and rows of boarded up terraced housing, anyone unfamiliar with the area would be forgiven for mistaking the wasteland site as a scene of war or natural disaster. This is Woodnook, an area of Accrington with a less than sparkling reputation, which would’ve once housed a bustling community of factory workers and their families. But although the scene looks bleak now, these streets could soon be thronged with families again as a ?10million project to revive the area that will eventually see 200 of these homes given a makeover has started.
